Sakura Season | Short Film

Created for Japa Chiiill, this short film explores loneliness and connection among LGBTQ+ travelers in Tokyo. The story follows several characters navigating the city alone until a single text brings them together beneath the cherry blossoms. Through the shared symbolism of pink hues and sakura petals, the film transforms feelings of isolation into joy, friendship, and belonging. Our visual approach balances intimate close-ups with wide seasonal landscapes, using soft light and delicate pacing to echo spring’s fleeting beauty. Designed as a cinematic invitation, the piece celebrates Tokyo as both a destination and a place of community.
